  i just thought it was funny them using the capitalized phrase "jw news" now.

  it might be true but it is not true truth if it is coming out of your mouth if you have been critical of the governing body.

  especially so if your criticism is valid and you have dared to support you view with scriptures, most especially the words of jesus christ.. anyone know of other new tactics?.

  I can tell you that in my area at least one congregation of elders are frozen. They don't know what to do as their own families are on the line.

  It looks like they are maintaining, what for them is a fearful balance and there have been reports of bottom sets of teeth being on view.
  

  Battening down on what scriptures can be used in the Watchtower might be one of the only tools left in their tool box. But I expect there are still a couple of bolts. Maybe they could be fitted to the neck of Watchtower Study Conductor.

  Sorry to hear about what you are having to endure over in US. Shame they don't focus on modern day slavery and how some will take homeless people and get them to labour for them for nothing more than a bit of food.

  This kind of thing has been happening in my neighbourhood. The ones doing it have justified it by saying they are helping the homeless and the normal cost of labour is 'ridiculous'.

  truth_b_know - oh don't ask me to read the stuff, I rely on others doing that! :) I believe Tadua on Beroeans has done an exhaustive study of this Watchtower.
  

  DubaRub - when they gave this announcement, spiritually, some of them did your hairdo. It's been a good gaming technique up until now to whack in legitimate scriptures and get the elders to quietly pass over what you just said as they hunt around for someone else who will give the right answer.

  You know people love to quote that scripture on how to identify false prophets and things like that.
  

  Ye,s maybe they have just brought back an old technique they haven't had to use for a few years. Blow the dust of and get it going again

  I Got Messed Up on My Medications ... I Knew I Had to Watch the Assembly On-Line This Weekend

  what a weekend.

  i have my normal medications to take; one white pill, one purple pill, one blue pill, one yellow pill ... you get the idea.. but having to watch the regional assembly on-line had me stressed.

  i now realized i accidentally took too many of those big purple pills.

  What the hell am I still doing here on this site ?

  The simple fact is these people are like the gnomes, elves and fairies. They are incredibly silly and providing you are not subject to them, it is very funny.

  Also we who have experienced this need each other, because we are the only ones who understand each other (up to a point anyway). These are scriptures which I find helpful.

  What to say to WT Publishers

  on bbc radio this morning there was a 20 minute piece on jws and the child abuse cover up.

  i am already receiving reaction to it from a number of sources.

  it occurred to me - if you were giving ordinary members of the public a steer on how to deal with wt publishers what would you advise?.

  Smiddy when I was first called on I told them what God's name was. It blew up their presentation. Funnily enough God's name was pretty well known.

  Smiddy keep moving forward. If you don't understand the OP, sorry. Others do but it might be because they hold a different vew. It is pointless to argue.
